In a collaboration with Fanø Brewery on Fano Island in Denmark, we created an Imperial Stout recipe to satisfy our own deepest desires. Brewing it on this picturesque summertime vacation island is how Natasha started, and of course we couldn’t wait to brew it at Hoppin’ Frog! The result is Natasha Rocks America - a rich, hoppy Imperial Stout with the deep-roasted, smooth flavor of Chocolate Rye malt. And, Natasha is generously dry-hopped with the perfect mix of select American hops, adding a great hop character to this super-tasty Imperial Stout collaboration brew.

Coffee on the nose straight away and then the hops kick in. Coffee and oatmeal on the palate then a deep nutty kick, chocolate, caramel and a hoppy bitterness completes the taste range. Liked it

Darkest brown, oddly grey brown decent foamy dissipating head. Nutty, dark choc nose. Chunky fairly thick mouthfeel and lovely melted roast choc and a nice lick of hazelnut. There’s a bitterness from faltering hops, nice lightly toasted finish. Very sweet but desserty finish.

Bottle, Black Friday Tasting

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2014 17.12.2013, 0,65l bottle @ home:
Big brown creamy longlasting head. Aroma is fresh hops, dark malts, roasted coffee, pine needles, leafs, rubber, chocolate. Taste is slightly dry hoppy, dark malts, hops, burnt caramel, burnt sour coffee, pine needles, leafs, grass, rubber, cocoa. Longlasting bitterness, dry and a little thin mouthfeel. Nice enough, a little disappointed I guess...

I’ve found that to my own personal tastes, very rarely do I find exceptions to what I do or don’t like. This beer has qualities that when combined I don’t usually like, but do yo its high ratings, thought I should give it a try. Dint work. Poured at a god temp with a modest, foamy, velvety, lite brown head that soon settled to very little and no lace. Color is an opaque black brown. Aroma dark ripe fruit, old leather, molasses, roast malt, hop. Flavor’s like nose, soft tang and bitter up front with cocoa and medicine, fairly dry, and other Flavor’s in back. Body/carbonation are for most part good, but some clashes yield harsh points. Finish is like flav, medicinal, longish, n not my thang.

Pours black with cocoa brown top, medium with minimal to light lasing. Aroma is pleasant, intense, well balanced mix of cocoa, coffee beans, darker malt, vanilla a bit, sweet all around. Taste is sweet, a bit sourish touch and dark malt bitter. Thick mouthfeel, medium to full body, pleasant bitter aftertaste.

Tsekouratos (604) - Nea Filadelfeia, Athens, GREECE - DEC 8, 2013
650 ml bottle shared. Beautiful black body with a nice brown head. Aromas were coffee, some dark chocolate and some spices, probably from the rye. Taste was phenomenal! Coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla with the right level of betterness! Body was medium to full and carbonation was light to medum! A perfect beer!!!!

Vells (1879) - Rīga, LATVIA - DEC 7, 2013
Natasha rocks really rocks! Intense roasted malts, choco awesomness with that rye touch that makes this one so special, vanilla. Very decent hops for balance. Sweet with bittersweet long finish. Smooth and highly enjoyable. Great brew!
