12oz bottle from Rays in Tosa. As ever, should cellar for a while, but there is the question of when to pull it out, and also why not have it now. Served in the Tighthead snifter colder than cellar temperature. Black pour with a nice brown head leaving a lot of spotty lacing. Aroma has whiskey, chocolate and caramel, with some light fruitiness. Very nice! Taste is of sweet malts, bakers chocolate, sweet whiskey, some fudge and some oats. Fairly smooth, despite the influence of the whiskey, Medium to full bodied, with a solid alcohol presence and the blend is solid/good. Finishes whiskey sweet with some cocoa krispies in the end, and quite a lot of length. Bummer, should cellar to allow those oats to tamper some more of the whiskey front. Tasty and nice now; will be better in 18 months. 14.8 hopdog (13102) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 12, 2017
