Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has strong notes of roasted malt, alcohol, and wood. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, and wood as well as a bit of oranges and chocolate, leading to a roasted and dry finish. The alcohol tickles the tongue and palate. Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Oily black. Evident vanilla and licorice aroma. Sweetish with bready pop-corn and licorice. Full bodied with lots of chocolate, prickly pear frutiness and notes of raspberry, tar and vanilla. Great stuff, but I feel that the whisky flavour detracts more than it adds.
