Made from our award-winning imperial stout, rated one of the top 50 best beers in the world in 2008. This bodacious oatmeal Russian imperial stout will crush you like no other. This is the grand-daddy of all stout styles, with an intensely deep roasted and full bodied flavor. A robust hop character adds a refreshing balance. Aged in Heaven Hill Whiskey barrels.

Smells like coffee, chocolate, whiskey and dark malt. Not as much whiskey in the nose as some beers. Pours out a almost pitch black color, head was about 1/2 inch very dark color, recedes into fine bubbles on the edge of the glass. Wow tastes really nicely balanced between the expresso coffee notes, chocolate, vanilla and bourbon. Really nice mouthfeel too. There is a nice alcohol warming but it isn't hot, which is great for the style. Overall a dn good bourbon stout that is rich, smooth and finely balanced. My first Hoppin' Frog and I'm quite impressed! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2017 Pitch black color, medium sized brown head. Aromas of chocolate, vanilla, fudge, whisky, caramel, wood, roasted malt, slight ash and chocolate cake. Taste of chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, alcohol, wood, slight raisins and roasted hints. Very well balanced. I love it.

Czarny jak smoła, w aromacie czekolada i lukrecja, brak nut bourbonowych, w smaku tez taki jednowymiarowy - praliny, czekolada i lukrecja. Spodziewałem się czegoś więcej.

Draft pours black with brown head. Aroma of bourbon, chocolate and coffee. Taste of bourbon, coffee and grains

Kran w Brewdog Warszawa. Bezowa, nikłej wielkości piana. Intensywny aromat beczki po whisky. Dalej migdały, wanilia, kokos i mleczna czekolada. W smaku przyjemna słodycz. Duża ilość migdałów, mokre drewno, whisky, czekolada. Konsystencja troszkę zawodzi. W moim odczuciu brak ciała. Alkohol świetnie ukryty.

UPDATED: APR 30, 2017 Kran Brewdog. Niedu?a, drobna pianka, czarne nieprzejrzyste. W aromacie migda?y, kokos i wanilia (w tej kolejno?ci), wzbogacone o czekolade, kaw?. W smaku agresywne, fajna czekoladowo likierowa slodycz, lepkie, oleiste, sporo czekolady, dosc geste... Goryczka dluga, palona. Nisko wysycone, ?adnie ukryty alko.

Rami Rami is drinking a Barrel Aged B.O.R.I.S. Oatmeal Imperial Stout by Hoppin’ Frog Brewery at BrewDog Warszawa Beczka dosc intensywna, waniliowa glownie, ale nie zaglusza palonosci, czekoladowosci itp troszke gryzace, rozgrzewajace, jakby przyprawowe
Rami Rami: Dziwne posmaki, takie ziemiste, nie do konca supsilowe

UPDATED: MAY 29, 2017 Mega słodki aromat bourbonu, beczkowe orzechy mieszają się z kawą i czekoladą, wanilia wygładza profil piwa.

22 oz bottle poured at Bob’s, generously sent over by Prufrockstar. Huge thanks for this one, my friend! Jet black pour with a spiraling, espresso brown head. Oats, dark chcolate, and a softer bourbon note on the aroma. Flavor is pretty similar, only the bourbon is a little more center stage. Fun barrel treat here. A dry oak to it. A bit dusty. Great oat constant. Late chocolate linger that outlasts the bourbon. Very pleasant imperial here. Awesome stuff.

Bottle. Taste of coffee, liquorice, brown sugar, vanilla and bourbon. Smooth mouthfeel.
