COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Aged in bourbon whiskey barrels to add a wonderful complexity to our massive American Double Imperial Stout. This barrel aging imparts memorable buttery, vanilla-like, and savory whiskey character, making this one of our most complex beers we’ve ever brewed. Another testament to our hard work and dedication in bringing our customers the very best.

Bottle from unknown place. Pours jet black with a thin khaki head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Lots of chocolate and whiskey on the nose. A lot of chocolate and whiskey on the tongue. Has a fair amount of hop bitterness as well which balances everything out. Hides it’s booze well. Nice.

22 oz bottle shared, purchased at Small Batch Liquors. Thick, opaque black appearance with a fully dissipating brown head. Rich aroma of dark chocolate, toasted oak, vanilla and a light whiskey spice. Similar flavor, adding roasted malt and moderate sweetness with hints of caramel malt and coffee. Medium to full body with a smooth creamy feel and a rich lingering finish. Nice.

65 cl bottle, served in a snifter. Poured black as motor oil with a small half finger mocha dark tan head that dissipated almost instantly. Soft carbonation. Aroma is wonderful and mouth watering: chocolate, coffee beans, licorice, oatmeal cookies, oak, bourbon, vanilla, dark fruit, pipe tobacco smoke. Taste: sooooo good! Dark chocolate, fudge, oatmeal cookies, roasted espresso beans, salty licorice, dark fruit, raisins, whole wheat bread, bourbon, vanilla, caramel, butter, toffee, creme brulee, roasted dark malts. I don’t know how to explain what a wonderful oily, sticky, creamy and ROASTED mouthfeel this beer has...It’s even better than the standard DORIS, the barrel aging gives it such a complex character, it makes it one of the best RIS I’ve ever tasted. A full body with a very roasted & bittersweet finish. An absolute monster of an Imperial Stout!

Bottle. Teku. Pitch black, with small, light brown, thick head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma are mostly roasted malts - mainly milk chocolate, coffee, on the other side very deep vanilla, buttery, toffee and fudge notes. Rich dark fruit sweetness (mainly raisins). Taste is medium bitter, intensifies thru the degustation, partly broken by some malty sweetness. Definitely hoppy character dominates this beer. Full body, thick and oily texture, soft carbonation, finish is semi-bitter and becomes flat in the far end. Lightly ABV warming. In general this is the best one from Boris and Doris series - great and complex aroma combined with pretty nice barrel notes. Definitely solid 4.0 for this beer.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06 pour opaque black with minimal tan head. Nose big barrel, light vegetal, toffee, prune, molasses. Taste barrel and alcohol early. Some molasses, slight peat, and a hint of soap. Raisin and prune later. I like the original better.
