The aroma is full of chocolate, mocha, coffee, caramel and vanilla. The color is pitch black. The taste is full of chocolate, coffee, mocha, caramel, vanilla, toffee, fudge, butter, whisky, cocoa nibs and coffee beans. A nice beer!

Wow! This beer is fabulous. Very rich taste, full body. Chocolate, roasted malts, coffe and little bit of vanilla - none of them prevails. It doesn't become weary at all, I did 0,5 l of this beer and could drink more of it the same evening.

Draught at Man in the moon Pitch black. Large blackish head. Roasted and vinous oak in the aroma. Rather sweet flavour with dark, dry chocolate, peat, tar... Perfect!

DonGregorio (664) - POLAND - JAN 14, 2018
Shared bottle. Pitch black beer with small brown head. Big aroma of dark chocolate, vanilla, roasted malts, cocoa, caramel and some coffee. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and medium+ bitter, of dark chocolate, cocoa, espresso, vanilla, roasty, with notes of coconut, caramel and wood. Chocolate and roast in long, bittersweet finish. Full body, oily, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Outstanding imperial stout - good balance, great base beer and barrel presence in flavour.

Aroma: a bit of sth like vegetables (DMS?!) or soy sauce, but more like cooked vegetables, chocolate, some alc. Bourbon is clearly detectable but not very strong. Taste: roasted malts, ash, alc., sth insipid like paper, semi-sweet. Carbonation is low, head is minimal. I'm rather disappointed.

Strykzone (7893) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JAN 6, 2018
Sampled at an ESBLS. Black. With minimal head. Big roast with just a little Bourbon. Barrls. Spice. Very good.

kambei70 (1160) - - DEC 29, 2017
UPDATED: DEC 29, 2017 Pours dark, thick, very little head or lacing. Mild scents of roastiness, malt, chocolate, and booze. Taste is a mix of sweet and boozy, notes of toasty chocolatey malt and a tang from the barrel. Slightly oily feel with an alcohol burn. Not a big barrel aged stout, but a strong one with pretty good character and balance.

minihame2 (845) - Oulu, FINLAND - DEC 28, 2017
Oily black colour, small and creamy, dark tan head. Aroma has roasted malts, some whiskey, wood, bit of caramel. Taste has dark roasted malts, coffee, bitter dark chocolatey finish. Above medium body, low carbonation, silky smooth mouthfeel. Solid imperial stout.
