COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Aged in bourbon whiskey barrels to add a wonderful complexity to our massive American Double Imperial Stout. This barrel aging imparts memorable buttery, vanilla-like, and savory whiskey character, making this one of our most complex beers we’ve ever brewed. Another testament to our hard work and dedication in bringing our customers the very best.

Catch up from last night’s RIS tasting. Barrel aging evident from the get-go, big ABV and won top of the already warmth right from the start. Tons of woody accents, gives this one a nice edge over the normal variety.

SlackerMads (3161) - DENMARK - MAR 29, 2016
Bottle. Thick black with a small diminishing dark brown head.Bourbon, charcoal and acidic roasted malt in the nose. The flavour is somewhat rough. Acidic roasted malt, wet dark wood, vanilla, dark chocolate, spicy rye bread. Medium/full body, oily texture, soft carbonation, medium sweet and bitter, light acidic. This is not doing the original version any favours.

660ml bottle (Alus Celle, Riga). Pitch black color. Small size, brown head, disappears. Peanut butter, roast, sweet, woody, whiskey in aroma. Hazelnut skins, roasted malts, sweet, whiskey, some toffee in taste. Fantastic roast and some cookies in aftertaste. Oak and tannins are nice and settle. No feel of alcohol. Fantastic brew! More!
