Opaque black - brown beer, tidy dark tan head. Nose of bourbon and dark chocolate. Palate is smooth and slightly viscous, modest fine carbonation. Rich dark malts, a little vanilla. Chocolate cake and oatmeal biscuit. Smooth bourbon, a little fruit and overall, well integrated. Mild spice. Little dark fruits. Light finish. Easy going for an RIS.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Daniel. Pours thick black with a dense, creamy brown head. Lots of charred malts in the nose, baking cocoa. Dried dark fruits. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with rich scorched earth bitterness, bittersweet baking cocoa. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with plenty of scorched wood, baking cocoa, raisins, burnt caramel, earth. Solid.
