Appearance: Medium chestnut brown. Hazy. Thin head of small white bubbles.
Nose: Sweet malt, caramel, bourbon, vanilla, clove and touch of nutmeg.
Taste: Initially sweet, heavy with booze and caramel. Resolving into the more subtle spice and oak aspects.
Body: medium and silky. Decent carbonation
Parting thoughts: A big Christmas. The barrel aging lends some very complimentary notes to the typical spice and malt.

I love Hoppin Frog, I love Fred Karm, and I’m glad I found this beer. Pours hazy ruby with minimal head. Big cranberry, spice, nutmeg, hops in the nose. Hazy amber pour with a thin off white head and light lacing .... aroma of cinnamon mostly, other spices like nutmeg and allspice .... taste is mostly spice, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and some dry oak .... has some a bit of a booze finish ... dry and spicy finish .... tastes much like the usual

Bomber. Amber-brownish pour, small off-white head with not much retention. Nose is spice forward (lots of Cinnamon and Ginger), brown sugar, caramel, cedar, bourbon notes. Mouth is medium-full, kinda oily, sweet with a shitload of spice, caramel, toast, dried fruit, booze. Tastes like a gingerbread man who drank too much whiskey at grandma’s house after Thanksgiving dinner. Ringing in the holiday season. Ho,ho,ho. Marrón rojiza medianamente turbia. Mínima espuma ligeramente tostada que pronto queda en nada. Nuez y especias en el aroma. Whisky y canela en el sabor, envueltos en malta. Calorcito alcohólico. Brown, no head, smells like fresh christmas cookies, and ginger bread. Taste is dominantly spices, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg. There are toasted malt notes hidden in there too, but it’s under all that spice. The spices are balanced, and though obvious, not too annoying for me. Carbonation is low. After taste has a slight warming from the spice, not very boozy at all for 8.6%.
