22 oz. bottle from One Stop Market, Haverhill, MA. Dark mahogany color with no head anywhere in the snifter. Aroma is nothing short of amazing. Ginger covered in cinnamon, winter mint and hints of clove. The flavor is mirror image of the aromas. It reminds me of a gingersnap cookie soaked in a whiskey barrel. The whiskey is a light nuance and the spices are the Christmas season on steroids. Medium to full in body with a rye malt finish. This bottle is for sure a year old since it was purchased in August. Really nice surprise. Fritz123 (1535) - Boca Raton, Florida, USA - DEC 21, 2013
UPDATED: FEB 4, 2015 Draft at the Hoppin Frog tasting room in Akron, OH. 5oz pour. Golden-amber in color with a thin white head. No real lacing. Aroma was powerful with spices like cinnamon, allspice, cloves and booze. The taste was very sweet (more than I really like). Spices come through especially the cinnamon. Full body for the style and oily. The booziness is prevalent and the overall flavor is washed away in the sweetness. Not my favorite from HF. gyllenbock (9177) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 18, 2013
Amber with a small head. Aroma and taste of apples, cinnamon, spices, toffee, nutmeg and some fruit. Not too sweet. A real "Christmas Beer".

Pours deep mahogany into a trappist glass. Tan head quickly recedes to nothing. Nutmeg and cinnamon aromas. Thin with pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon turning warming in the lasting finish. Slight bourbon afterburn is nothing special, but brings the base brew up a couple of notches. SirLimpsalot (4244) - SWEDEN - DEC 17, 2013
@Gyllenbock: stor doft av ingefära och pepparkakor. Smaken är lika så. Mycket jul och juökryddor. Ganska tvålig men ändå klockren.

The flavor profile here is a surprisingly balanced malt and spice combo, almost comes across as a very serviceable take on a Belgian dark ale. The bourbon element is enjoyable, but in sweet, oily way - there’s very little in the way of genuine oak flavor here, or at the very least, it doesn’t come out that way in the mix. Well worth a try, however, and certainly in the upper tier of christmas beers that saturate the market this time of year. TrappistenOli (320) - Bern, SWITZERLAND - OCT 26, 2013
Braun, opaltrüb, kein schaum, würzig und nach relativ stark nach zimt im aroma, süsslich im geschmack, zimt, gutes weihnachtsbier

Bottled. Pours amber with a medium sized, off-whie to beige head. Aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and notes of caramel. Sweet flavour that ends up more dry. Medium bodied, oily text. and soft carb. As the original version a little overspiced but an OK christmas brew. Cuso (8691) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - AUG 24, 2013
