Decent imperial stout. More of an imperial porter than stout. Not much sweetness. gyllenbock (9328) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 29, 2013
Bottle at "Ölkalas hos Ekne".
Black with a small tan head. This was a fairly relaxed one with roasted malt, chocolate, some coffee and oatmeal. The finish was long and rather bitter. Tasty.

Sample at the HSC July 4th beer tasting. Pours black with a medium tan head that diminishes slowly. Patchy lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of roast malt, chocolate and fruit. Full-bodied with flavors of earthy malt, chocolate, hops and a touch of dark fruit. The finish is roasty with a bittersweet chocolate aftertaste. Good beer all around. Bomber. Lovely foulness: Oil with a frothy head on top. Nose of soy, coffee, milk berries, bread, somewhat austere. Sweet flavor of soy sauce, coffee, cola. Great smooth body. Great stuff DietPepsican (1592) - @ $13.99, Iowa, USA - FEB 28, 2013
walez. Black pour with an off white thick head. Sticky sweet chocolate and toffee on this one, roasty, some ash tray notes and a bit of sour cream. Good mouthfeel on this one, a bit slick, not quite chewy.

Pours black with ruby hues and a thin creamy tan head. Aroma has burnt roasty malts and dark fruits. Flavor follows suit and adds layers of tobacco and molasses...boozy. mouthfeel is medium and creamy with a burnt bitter and dry finish. Belmont bottle probably about a year old or so now. Typical stout pour with a small tan head that quickly disappears. Fairly mild aroma of dark malt and molasses. Odd to say it, but a nice, mellow, easy-drinking impy stout. Finishes with lots of chocolate, coffee and a hint of booze. Tmoney99 (14752) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 4, 2013

22 ounce bottle into snifter; bottled in late Fall 2011, so this is a year old now. Pours pitch black color with a small dark tan head with decent retention that reduces to a thin lace that lingers. Slight spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big dark chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, toffee, toast, coffee, molasses, bread, light char, oatmeal, and light dark fruits. Damn nice aromas with good balance, strength, and complexity; can definitely see the bready toast character from the English malts. Taste of big dark chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, toffee, coffee, molasses, light char, toast, biscuit, light nuttiness, raisin, oatmeal, and light tobacco. Light roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, caramel, toast, molasses, toffee, biscuit, dark fruit, oatmeal, and light tobacco on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic balance, complexity, and robustness of flavors; with a very pronounced malt backbone and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a creamy, thick, and slick mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent Imperial stout! Great balance and complexity of highly robust flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering as expected.
