COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beware! Beware! The Double Oatmeal Russian Imperial Stout will destroy your taste buds like no other. More hops and more malt than BORIS create a super deep roasted and full bodied flavor, making this the great, great grand daddy of all stout styles.

This beer pours black. I mean BLACK! No light makes it through this beer even when it is pouring out of the bottle. Once the glass is full, you are left with a glass full of dark, silky goodness with almost no head whatsoever. Swirling the beer in the glass shows good legs up the side of the glass. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, and dark fruit. Flavor of dark chocolate and dark fruit with bitterness around the sides of the tongue. A bit of sour cherry on the back end of this beer, which is very thick in the mouth. This beer has a lot of flavor, but a little bit of alcohol flavor still manages to work its way through. I would have liked this beer to be a bit dryer (more coffee and chocolate forward) rather than the cherry and dark fruit being the strongest flavor, but this is still a very tasty beer.

Bottle. Black color, chestnut brown head. Beautiful, complex aroma with licorice and chocolate. Superbly smooth, long flavor that follows the aroma and adds espresso and lingering, juicy malts. Very full body, medium-light carbonation. Beautiful!

As black as the void of space the dark beige head. Intense roasted coffee beans, bittersweet dark chocolate, some black malt, molasses, light smoke. Full bodied and slick. Chewy. Ain’t no slouch.

Butelka. Sporo beczki, czekolady gorzkiej, mlecznej. Wysoko wysycone. Nuta alkoholowa widoczna w aromacie jak i w smaku. Troszkę lepsze od Rocky Mountain Doris.

Black color, large brown head. Aromas of chocolate, brownies, roasted malt, vanilla, caramel, oats and bread. Taste of roasted malt, herbs, bread, coffee, cacao, soy, tar and slight alcohol. The aromas differs quite a lot from the taste. Bitter finish. Solid.

Bottle. Thanks! A: It’s so black it couldn’t be any more black. Mocha head. Legs. N: Malted milk, cocoa, espresso, pine, ash, roast, some soy sauce, lots of peppercorns, molasses, earth. T: Very sweet and very bitter. M: Medium-heavy body, light alcohol burn, spritzy carbonation. O: Spicy and earthy stuff. Yet, somehow, despite the intensity of the sweetness and the bitterness, I don’t find that they mesh all that well and it gets hard to drink because of this factor.
