Beware! Beware! The Double Oatmeal Russian Imperial Stout will destroy your taste buds like no other. More hops and more malt than BORIS create a super deep roasted and full bodied flavor, making this the great, great grand daddy of all stout styles.

Pour is kind of like changing your oil, it’s thick, black, and no head. Coffee grounds, dark chocolate, alcohol are all present. Bold roasty malts and decent hop bitterness on the tongue, with a noticeable alcohol presence along the way. Big, velvety, and finishes with a long dark chocolate and alcohol aftertaste. I bet a year or so would turn this into one of the best RIS out there.

Bottle. Pours as black as old motor oil with a firm light brown head that dissipates to a thin film. Aromas of vanilla, bourbon, dark chocolate and dark fruit. Flavors are toasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, vanilla, bourbon, toasted bread and licorice. Fruity finish--plum, and raisin--with an earthy hop bite. Deep, dark, malty, dark, and malty. Complex flavor profile. Substantial booziness. Surprisingly clean mouthfeel for such a huge beer. Delicious.

Deep inky black hue under a thin spotty dark tan head. Rich sultry roasty aroma with deep dark cocoa, boozy dark black malt, gentle smoke, and roast black coffee with a hint of charred maple. Big rich flavor that’s dark and black and roasty and toasty with huge bittersweet dark chocolate, gentle earthy coffee, and a lingering roast black malt finish with whispers of maple and char and chocolate sweetness and richness.

Uzupełnienie profilu notatki. Piana niewielka drobna zbita beżowa. Kolor czarny.

Very old rating found on a loose page while cleaning, possibly from 2010. Notes are from a tasting, possibly RB gathering in Grand Rapids - Black pour with a tan head. Big roast malt aroma. Coffee. Chocolate. The intense flavor is full of roast malt. It's on the sweet side with chocolate and is mellow and smooth for such a big beer. Excellent.
