medium body and soft carb tseo (155) - Athens, GREECE - JUN 18, 2012
Bottle at the Local Pub, Halandri.
Aroma: Bitter and aromatic elements dominate in the nose. It’s very
spicy, very herbal, veray earthy. Some nice fruit (grapefruit;
strawberry;). Bold and very attractive.
Mouthfeel: Medium body.
Taste: Not as bitter as I would expect, but leans on the bitter side.
Tastes delicious malty/bread/cookie/nutty combination, as well as being
hoppy as hell.
Finish: Gently sweet palate, then dry, earthy and fruity. Mild but
characterful and distinct.
Overall: Superb beer, though I’d like some more bitterness. I’d have it
anytime, all the time. Foffern (2109) - Bodø, NORWAY - JUN 12, 2012
Bottle at home. Has a slightly hazy brownish amber colour with a small off-white head. Looks pretty carbonated. Has a nice fruity hop aroma with peaches and some alcohol. Destinct hoppy and a bit sweet flavour, along with some grass, wood, alcohol and resin. Is slightly sour and dry in the end. The mouthfeel is slick, but a little bit sparkly. Medium bitterness. A well-balanced beer and a decent DIPA. Maybe too much alcohol in my opinion. alfhansen (35) - Bryne, NORWAY - JUN 3, 2012
500 ml bottle from Polet in Valkendorfs Gate, Bergen. A nice orange pour with a white, dissipating head. Quite faint aroma of American hops. Hoppy, but never bitter flavour, with a nice lingering aftertaste. Prominent malty sweetness. A very well made beer. BarBache (33) - NORWAY - JUN 3, 2012
amber, clear, tan foam, lightly bitter, was spicy, tasted from bottle, will try this again on a warmer day, then it will almost perfect :)
