Bottle from Whole Foods, in a tulip glass. Marvelous spicy aroma. Transparent orange. Spicey taste of clove, allspice, and cinnamon- very similar to aroma. Spice wonderfully balanced with pumpkin taste i. e. neither cancels out the other. One of my favorite pumpkin ales. dragonlady1010 (30) - Illinois, USA - OCT 27, 2010
Wonderful notes of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, a hint of banana and an undefinable vegetal note (the pumpkin I imagine). Malt sweetness evident in the aroma. Little hops. Smells very like pumpkin pie. Copper color with a small light head. Taste parallels the aroma. Pleasantly pumpkin pie. Nicely balanced and not overly sweet. A wonderfully pleasant beer. Too bad we can’t have it all year long. mikedR (1561) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - MAR 28, 2013
Quintessential and lovely pumpkin ale. Frothless pumpkin-colored pour. Requisite pumpkin and pumpkin-oriented spices tickle the nose. But the taste! Starts off with nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin, and spice flavors, but then yields to a deliciously sweet malty base, lingering on the tongue. Could be my favorite pumpkin ale. At the very least, The Frog can do no wrong by me. A road trip to Akron (Akron?!?) is clearly in order.

Finally a beer that can rival pumpking, this one comes damn close, I still think I like Pumking more but this comes damn close. Pours orange with a bright white ring. Nose has a pumpkin kick. Taste is sweet, rich and quite big. Lots of seasonally spiced pumpkin! Cybercat (5743) - Georgia, USA - NOV 7, 2010
Strong aroma has a strong spicy overtone, mainly cinnamon, with pumpkin and subtle malty tones as well. It pours a pretty clear amber with a thick, fluffy, fairly persistent white head. Flavor is malty and spicy with a nice pumpkin-pie overtone and a hint of caramel. Texture is rather fizzy, leaving a spicy finish and a tingle that hangs around for a little bit. This is an excellent autumn beer, perfect for Halloween or Thanksgiving! coldbrewky (1730) - Hippetown East, New York, USA - SEP 5, 2011
Bomber shared with friends. You can tell as soon as the cap was lifted that this beer was going top be great. Expansive nose of spice and out of the oven pumpkin pie. Bready and pie crust tone as well. Glowing golden amber with a steady head. Full bodied and confident. A real treat from a new brewery. On notepad..... a :) a bright star and several exclamation points.....gonna hunt some of this up. Scubatrip (610) - Annandale, Virginia, USA - OCT 8, 2013
From the bottle, pours a semi hazy orange with a thin white head. Fragrant aroma with notes of cinnamon, pumpkin pie, floral hops. Thick with flavors of a pumpkin pie with whip cream. Poor rating here, no doubt. But a very good pumpkin beer. SPDickerman (1239) - Texas, USA - NOV 27, 2013
Pours sunset orange with a small white foam. Smells of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and clove. Taste is pumpkin, spices, and mild sweetness. Medium-bodied with a slick texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Hoppin’ Frog Frog’s Hollow Double Pumpkin Ale finishes with a soft pumpkin kiss.
