Thanks to my neighbor for this one. Brown /reddish pour, strong smell of heavy spices. Very strong. Flavors of ginger, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, complexity of spices, maybe overdone. Light to medium body, some bitterness which does balance this brew out. Some heat in this this one, nice warming feeling. Overal decent beer for the season.

Ruby/amber, clear, no bubbles. nose is a gingerbread cookie. Thin/med body and moderately fizzy. lots of ginger, a nutty and burnt chocolate malt is a bit too burnt. nutty finish. decent. aroma is better than flavor.

From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Aroma is an explosion of spices, huge unpleasant cinnamon, nutmeg, christmas cake, sugar, sweet malt and caramel. Flavour is quite annoyingly sweet and cloying. Body is medium. Way too heavy on the cinnamon for my taste, almost sickening. I still love Hoppin’ Frog, but this beer...
