Bottle, 22oz, at RBNAG -09. It’s a hazy, orange-golden beer with a dense, off-white head leaving lacings. Apricot, grapefruit, generic tropical fruits, a faint note of pepper, and malty sweetness on the nose. Sweet flavor with lots of pinecones and tropical fruits. Malty-sweet with a touch of pepper. Fine, intense bitterness towards the lasting finish. Full-bodied, almost astringently bitter. A lovely beer, probably cellared a bit too long, but the hops still shine. 091107

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear orange to amber color, medium sized off-white head. Aroma is malts, hops, a bit grassy. Taste malts, hops, a light hint of caramel, grapefruit, fruity, bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Yup, very nice!

bhensonb (15189) - Woodland, California, USA - JAN 26, 2009
Bottle from Beer Geek. Slightly hazy copper color with a decent fine white head. Fruity citrus over lightly roasted malt. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is very malty, though not sweet, with a lot of floral hop. Finishes a bit astringent with some decent bitter. Not getting citrus, but it sure is something hop. Grapefruit overridden by roasted malt? Starting to seem that way.

[5/3/13] Draught at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. Orange. Citric and piney hops aroma with a bit of marijuana notes. Bitter hoppy flavor with lots of pine needles and some grapefruit. Medium-bodied. Pretty nice.

Scopey (14708) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 2, 2012
Tap at Craft Beer Co. It pours hazy amber, with a thick yellow-white head. The nose is orange, citrus pith, sweaty sock and salt. The taste is tangy citrus, orange squash, grapefruit, marmalade, resin, straw, salt and hay, with a decent bitter finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Easy drinking and enjoyable IPA.
