Tallahassee, Fl - Market Square Liquors - 22 oz bomber. Pours a deep murky medium brown with not much of a head. Very aromatic with plenty of dates and raisins, some molasses and a hint of rum. Flavor is full bodied with all the requisite flavors that a good dopplebock should have. Plenty of molasses, dates, moist canned baked brown bread and a slight warming booziness that is enticingly lip smacking. Sticky mouthfeel. Good winter warmer to bring in March like a lion. 650ml bottle. Hazy chestnut colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, ochre-ish, beige head. Multi-layered dark malty aroma has sweet, herbal, spicy and toasty facets, hints of nougat, toffee and treacle. Taste is intensely sweet dark malty, notes of malt lozenge, treacle, toffee, sweetness is passably hold at bay by dry, toasty malty notes, supported by some bitter hoppy overtones with tobacco touch; slightly sticky palate. Rich, intense and heavy. Headbanger (4023) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - DEC 13, 2014

Bottle. Pours ruby dark red in color with a small whitish head. Bit of dark malts, sweetness and ripe dark fruits. There’s some part that’s almost like a mix between butterscotch and nuttyness with additional hints of brown sugar. Dark syrup, some nuttyness and dark fruits in taste. Sweet and dark bready finish with a little warming effect too. Enjoy this one just slightly chilled. Good as a winter warmer, even if the sweetness is almost too much from to time. The nuttyness and bready malty notes saves alot though here. fluffy (2461) - St Petersburg, Florida, USA - OCT 3, 2014
