Rich malty flavors of caramelized and toasted grains dominate this robust Scotch ale. A hint of rye adds a crisp, scotch-like, old-world beer character, reminiscent of a simpler life from centuries ago. It’s a wee-bit heavy.

Clear red - brown beer. Light bubblegum nose. Softish palate, slightly dry. Sweet malt with a wheat beer like bubblegum and banana. Finishes pretty much the same way but adding a little spice in the aftertaste. More wheat beer than wee heavy! Pretty drinkable though!

Bottle at home ... copper ... sweet toffee and light spice nose .... sweet fruits ... little toffee ... juicy fruits ... light syrupy figs and plums ... light american pale ale malt ... pleasent enough

Leighton (21258) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 25, 2012
Draft at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours clearish amber with a soft, white foam head. Mostly just caramel and booze all around. Some ripe, alcohol-soaked fruits. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Hot finish, ripe fruits, toasty sugars. OK beer, but really nothing special.
