Shared bottle @ Cardinal. Pours black with a small tan head. Rich aromas of dark chocolate, toffee, nice roasted malt and licorice. Smooth to drink! Notes of chocolate, sweet licorice and some leather. Can’t go wrong with Hoppin’ Frog! hooks11 (10) - north canton, Ohio, USA - FEB 10, 2012
Fantastic caramel and chocolate nutty finish. I keep this beer around and use it to braise my ribs. Best porter I have found for cooking with. maxwelldeux (4433) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - OCT 19, 2012
Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a moderate off-white head. Some caramel and roasted notes to the nose. Very smooth and easy taste - nice roasted flavors and so tasty. mike5326 (1786) - virginia beach, Virginia, USA - JUN 4, 2010
Nice dark coffee brown with a short lived head. It smells of roasted coco beans. Nice roasted taste with a mild bitter accent.
