COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The release of our Turbo Shandy Citrus Ale is around mid June. Born from European tradition, our Shandy is a refreshing combination of lemon and light malt flavors. Unlike traditional shandys, Turbo Shandy, revs it up a couple of notches with a high test, full flavored approach as only Hoppin’ Frog can do.

Bottle, 22oz, courtesy of Brugmansia. It looks like a German radler, and smells like a German radler, wonder how it tastes. It’s clear, golden and with a minimal sized off-white head. There’s citrus, mint and some pale malts in the aroma. Lots of citrus actually. It’s a bit thin on the palate, quite dry, and with a stinging lemony sourness. The flavor is lemony, leaving the pale malts and whatever else might be there in the far back. A strange one indeed, but nice as well. 110319

Bottle @ Denmark/Norway Tasting @ Ulfborg 2011. Courtesy of Fonefan. Pours clear yellow with a small off white head. Lemon soda, Sprite and citrus. Some exotic touches . . Sweet. Alcohol very well hidden! Medium bodied. I wish I was 14 years old again! I would have loved this!

Yellow with a small white head. Aroma of lemonade, lemon peel and a hint of mint. Sweet citrus, sugar and caramel flavour. As a concept beer it’s spot on and pretty funny. But that’s all it is.

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of lemon. The flavor is sweet with primary notes of lemon, but also light notes of malt.

MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - DEC 21, 2010
Bottle, 7.0%. Distinct lemonade aroma, not like a German Radler, but quite artificial still. Like a mix of piss and cleaning agents. Extremely sweet - must have massive amounts of white sugar. Tastes a lot like water soluble multivitamins. Sweet and lemony with an alcohol finish.

Pinball (12145) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 17, 2010
pale yellow , small smooth white head. aroma is perfumey, candy, citrussy, way too artificial. flavor is strong bitter citrussy, macro beer. imperial shandy might not be a good idea after all.

Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 17, 2010
Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Theis. Pours yellow with a slight haze and a tiny white head. Fresh lemon aroma. Medium body, a little low in carbonation, rather sweet lemon accents - stil fresh though. No real bitterness. Quite decent. 171210
