The release of our Turbo Shandy Citrus Ale is around mid June. Born from European tradition, our Shandy is a refreshing combination of lemon and light malt flavors. Unlike traditional shandys, Turbo Shandy, revs it up a couple of notches with a high test, full flavored approach as only Hoppin’ Frog can do.

Pour out of 22 oz bottle, hazy golden pour with thin quickly fading white head, aroma brought sugar, vanilla, citrus, some lemon notes with some slight bread. Taste was a mix of lemon, sugar, slight biscuit, cracker into a bit of grain, touch of yeast, finishing fairly sweet. Not bad for what it is, glad I was able to split the bomber.

Bottle. Pours yellow with small frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is strong lemon zest and citrus. Thin mouth, tastes like boozy lemonade and ginger, decent.

sample at GLBN Global Warming Tsting, lemony sugar candy and beer mixed together. decent over ice i suppose. Not my thing but way better than the saranac one

ICEatALAMO (1351) - Troy, Michigan, USA - MAY 31, 2014
Bottle. The aroma is all citrus. The pour is super light. The taste is super citrus, and nice. Light and refreshing. Not sure why the low rating. Solid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A: Hazy Golden Straw Hue, Passes Some Light, No Head, No Lacing S: Sugary Lemons, Cane Sugar T: Lemon flavored Luedens Cough Drops M: No Carbonation, Light Bodied, SWEET Overall, the whole shandy thing gets a bad rap but this one is a sugar full cough drop. On a side note, my throat feels much better after drinking it...huh.

Straight lemon bomb. Almost a kicked up lemonade. That being said it was very enjoyable. So damn refreshing on a hot day. Understand this is not a serious classic beer but for what it is yummy

Bottle from Cleveland Beer Fest, interesting fruity beer, overall I thought it was decent, light, good.

beerbaaron (1998) - Arizona, USA - JUN 16, 2013
Clear, straw yellow. Small white head. Citrus, lemon, yeast. Sweet. Lively and superbly refreshing and thirst quenching. Perfect lighter side of medium body. By far my favorite shandy Ive tried. NOTHING better after some time in the summer sun. 22oz goes down in minutes...

MarinEvelyn (854) - Wisconsin, USA - JUN 16, 2013
ahhh yeah, ah yeah. This is the perfect summer beer. Lemon, and a little orange aroma. Amazing sweet lemon/citrus taste. So smooth and light and refreshing. Like Leine’s Summer Shandy super charged.

hunter112 (67) - Nanuet, New York, USA - JUN 3, 2013
This is refreshing, the only shandy I had tried before it was Leinie’s. This tastes better, and I just wish I had bought more on my recent trip to Ohio.
