Bottle. A reddish brown clear color with a foamy off-white head. A spiced (ginger, candy, pepper) hoppy malt aroma that finishes with a vegetable grainy, malt and caramel flavor. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - DEC 9, 2006
(Bottle) Pours a clear copper body with a small off-white head. Aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel, florals, and fruitiness. Flavor of hops, peppery, and cinnamon with a somewhat bitter finish. Okay, but hard to finish a 22oz bottle. Odeed (1803) - Bakersfield, California, USA - JAN 7, 2008
orange with a nice white head that leaves webbing on the glass.strange aroma of beets, wintergreen, and toothpaste.flavor is much of the same.very strange indeed. Rosebud butternuts (2396) - Denton, Texas, USA - DEC 10, 2011
Bottle thanks to bhensonb. Poured amber with an off white head. Aroma was a huge blend of spices and maybe some dark fruits. Flavor was spice, citrus, Orange, pine, and caramel. Body was medium with medium carbonation. Dorwart (2590) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - JAN 19, 2013
Decent sized tan head of varying sized bubbles. Spicy aroma with some ginger and nutmeg, vegetal aromas, some light roasted grains and grass. Color is a dark amber with good clarity. Spicy flavor as one would expect with lots of ginger and cinnamon, earthy vegetable and straw flavors, light roastyness and some tea leaves. Moderate lingering bitterness late swallow with more spices and a somewhat chalky palate. An ok brew that is heavy on the spice. Not something that I would like to drink regularily.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2013 Draft at beer fest. Hazy copper with minimal white head. The aroma is spices and brown sugar. The taste is dry, bitter, light spices. This was a bit weird, honestly. thegreenrooster (4402) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - JUN 25, 2014
Pour is a hazy red with a small white head. Aroma is all spice. Nutmeg and cinnamon. Flavor is kind of a syrupy malt with some of the spice. Finish leaves some candied apple like malt with some butterscotch on the tongue. This was a bargain bin pickup at about a quarter of the regular price so it was probably well past its prime as the spices were kinda lost. But fresh I could see this as a overly spiced winter ale. hopdog (12541) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 26, 2017
22oz bottle. Poured an amber color with a small sized off white head. Some spiciness, citrus, and toasted bread. ChazMania (669) - Oceanside, California, USA - DEC 1, 2006
Bomber. This was disappointing after I have had a few really good Holiday Ales the past few weeks. This has way to much clove and nutmeg spice aroma and flavor. It was one of those "first sip interesting" because it is different, "second sip not so good" and downhill from there. golubj (1377) - San Mateo, California, USA - JAN 9, 2008
Bottle. Dark orange pour with thin off-white film on top. Aroma of cinnamon, banana-nut bread, and some sweet malt. The flavor is similar, pretty vegetable-like, with some bitterning hops in the finish. Somewhat a strange concoction of flavors.
