Inky black with a thin khaki head. The nose is sticky and as dark as the appearance; dark licorice and roasted black malt aromas with a deep dark biscuitiness. The flavor is wonderful, with much more chocolatiness than the nose, a touch of molasses, and a touch of licorice. Good bit of chocolate, actually. And a touch of coffee on the finish. kidmartinek (5001) - austin, Texas, USA - OCT 30, 2012
Pours black with a creamy tan head. The aroma is very paltry. The flavor is sweet Bourbon and alcohol. Any roasted malt struggling to break through is an undertone. Its a little rough. The finish is vanilla, oaky... and has the faint aftertaste of borbon. What a savory concontion! Just like whiskey it gets smoother the more you drink. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - OCT 25, 2012
(Draught) Pours an opaque black body with a small tan head. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, toffee, oak, and chocolate. Flavor of chocolate, peanut butter, caramel, nougat, and oak with a dry finish.
