COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Greenhouse Stout is a classic strong stout with notes of cocoa, chocolate and coffee. It’s fermented with a blend of four Belgian yeast strains bringing hints of banana and clove, and a crisp, dry finish to an otherwise malt-forward beer.

Pours black into a brewery mini glass with a tiny light brown head. Aroma is cocoa sweet/roasty. Taste is nice: a rich chocolate like sweetness with a little burnt roast at the end. Nice and thick too.

On tap at Hops & Grain - Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and hints of coffee. Pours a solid black with a short-lived tan head and no lacing. The taste is malt forward with nods to chocolate and lactate sweetness. Medium-full body and medium carbonation. Overall, nice dry stout.

On tap at the Draught House. Dark brown pour with a tan head. The aroma has a lot of chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor is more the same. I get some real creamy notes with a lot of chocolate, heavy roasted malt and a hint of yeast. Thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

May 19 2012 at Hops & Grain: Close to black in color with a light brown head and with just enough of a Belgian yeast character to keep it from being too sweet or too dry. Light chocolate with a little dash of spice. Nice, very creamy body with a little warmth. But really - it has a great balance and combination of all ingredients, especially the yeast. Gorgeous.
