COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A golden hued, medium bodied, lager style beer, it is a refreshing alternative to a classic lager style beer. Finished with imported Saaz Hops, our Lightning Bold Gold promises a smooth finish.

Rather light in body, not a whole lot in way of aroma, maybe a little floral action going on in the nose but not much, decently balanced, a bit of a spicy finish to the beer, nothing all that great about this brew though

it's alright, but dark beers are better....................................

Ooof! No head. Goes down relatively well, but so does water. Semi-rotgut effect to my stomach. Too carbonated. Boring, uneventful, generic. Describing this beer is a waste of time. Sampled from Richmond, VA Hops near Chesterfield Towne Center.

Maple Grove, MN: Light malt nose. Creamy, white head with good lace. Head is mostly diminishing. Clear, yellow body; no sparkle. Light sweetness in the initial mouthfeel; long duration. Light to medium bodied. Unlike JPDIPSO, felt this brew was softly carbonated. Not a bad American Standard; would drink it before most of the macros. NOTE: Was treated to bartender, Aaron Lepinski's, signature concoction, 'An Aaron Beer', which is a mixture of the Lighting Bold Gold, Alligator Ale and Thoroughbred Red. It was outstanding! Ask for it by name at your local Hops. BTW, the service at Hops has been excellent the two times I have visited (Maple Grove & Eden Prairie, MN).

Eden Prairie, MN, Draught - Very light gold color with a white minimal head. Light malt, light hops, ust plain light. Very zippy carbonation that distracts from the beer.

Draught. Body is light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), lightly hoppy (herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.

American standard with a lil more hops than rice. Color of a cheap gold wristwatch with a mirroring taste. Did I also mention it stinks like swamp gas?

This definitely has a very stale grainy taste to it. It's also pretty bland and uninteresting. I would not recommend it to anyone.

This was wretched beer. I must have been getting to the bottom of the kettle or something. After a decent experience with Hops Clearwater Light, I was expecting their 'Bold Gold' to be either bold or gold or something. Lousy, stale grainy aroma. Tasted like a bad vodka drink without the kick. Not particularly hoppy, no good yeast, grain or malt flavor. Any of their other beers is a better choice.

Not all bad but certainly not great. Somewhat basic & almost boring. Good with foods.
