Draft at Hopvine. Deep dark brown, but also cloudy, with some ruby highlights. Thin lacy film of foam in the tulip glass. Smell is of coriander and staled hop. Has some black cardamon to it. Ken says there’s no spice added, it all comes from the new Omega Labs yeast.
Flight 6/15/14 (Hopvine)-Pours brown with a small head. Aroma of toffee, malt, fruits, and tartness. Taste of toffee, malt, fruits, and grass. This light bodied is a different tasting Saison but still rather tasty. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - JUN 5, 2014
[Tap] Brown in color with about an inch of foamy beige head. Grainy malts, toffee, clove and fruit in the nose. Taste is very similar, with herbal and grassy notes coming out. Phenolic notes border on band-aid type flavors as the beer warms. Drought, pours a dark nearly opaque brown with a whisky light brown head. A very esthery beer with a mildly tart, somewhat fruity flavor. Finishes with a light bitterness. Thin with moderate carbonation. Nothing much to see here.

On tap at the brewery bar, and served to a fluted flight glass showing a hazed, brown tone, with a modest layer of light tan head foam that diminished rather quickly to a ring & film, leaving some spots of lacing that were also fleeting. The nose presented maybe some light esters, but had more of an herbal and slightly medicinal scent, noting hints of mint and coriander. The body was light, with low effervescence, as the taste offered light malt, again, maybe some light esters, but no real tartness or acidity. Drinkable, but not enough farmhouse qualities to get my attention.
