Bottle. Pretty standard IPA, a little malt heavy with some NW hops but not as much as Iíd prefer.

22oz bottle thanks to Guy411. Hazy amber pour with a medium sized white head. The aroma was obviously hoppy, but was also a little reminiscent of garlic/onion and rooty stuff in general. is that the Nugget? Iím not very familiar with that in the aroma that I know of, but maybe the few months of age on this bottle simply jumbled a few aromatic molecules around. There is still a nice fruity touch though, and the vegetal stuff doensít really bother me as much as it just strikes me as a little different. The flavor is pretty dry and hoppy, with a darker hop flavor that almost seems english, and is out in quantity. Medium bodied with a modest malt flavor. Not amazing but a solid IPA that I would like to have fresh on tap.

Bottle shared by Guy411 at a tasting. Pours clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is rough citrusy hops with some malt to balance, but mostly hop-forward. You can tell this one is from Oregon, as itís somewhat reminiscent of Ninkasiís IPAs in a way. Flavor is more rough citrusy and earthy hops, grapefruit and orange, and just a touch of sweet malt. Medium-bodied and mildly palate wrecking, but not nearly as much so as some of the badder IPAs out there. Overall a pretty good beer.

illidurit (2327) - San Francisco, California, USA - JAN 10, 2010
Bottle courtesy Guy411. Pours dark orange-gold with a wet off-white head. Aroma is pale/caramel malty with some dusty hops and a light citrus note. Flavor is low on hops due to the bottleís age, but you can tell that it was hoppy when fresh from the lingering solid bitterness. Even though this is made with PNW hops, the age gives it sort of an earthy, appley Fuggles character.

Bottle:   Amberish, orange hued, large frothy white head, rather sticky lacing.   Citrusy nose, very earthy and grainy with the malts.   Smooth on the tongue, soft hop bitterness, earthy, with a little organic malt funk.   Mild sweetness, lingering earthy malts.   A little light for my tastes, also has that organic funk.   Tiz okay, but not what I was hoping for.
