Sampled during VCBW 2013 at the River Rock Casino Resort pouring a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head that leaves no lacing behind. Aroma is fresh citrus and pine hops with some cereal grains. Taste is a modest pine and citrus hop bitterness balanced nicely with a grainy malt sweetness. Light body with mild carbonation. A well done pilsener that is definitely worth checking out.

Unfiltered straw coloured golden pour wearing a more than fair white head. From the looks, I already expect greatness. From the look on my face, I have been served. It’s a very clean pls malt nose that I encounter on the first whiff where hay and the softest breadiness are in fine equilibrium. Refreshing grassy, herbal and slightly spicy bitterness comes with the cleansing, crisp carbonation to provide the kind of finish I like: the one that tells you the next sip will always be welcome and will never be less tasty or interesting than the last one. Saturation just does not happen with that type of beer. Perfect sunny day lager, dry and straightforward. Unsurprisingly, I’m in total disagreement with the majority here. That’s one mighty fine lager, but perhaps not responding to the average wet dreams of a Portland visitor.

Tap at Hopworks - clear gold - a bit sweet forth style, but with a nice hop crispness to balance - pils malt is soft and clean - a bit of a honey finish, with a sligh peppery hop bit and mineral character on the end - decent.

Can from a Portland, OR supermarket. Gold body with medium, puffy head. Nose is straw, corny, with malts. Taste is hoppy, buttery with bitter in the finish. Pretty decent.

Aroma – Light Pils aroma with lots of malts.
Appearance – Light golden color, Nice light head and clear.
Flavor – Good pils flavor. This was easy to drink with a good use of hops and malts.
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, good texture with a dry finish.
Overall – A very nice Pilsner. I like the flavors. This will be a great hot day out riding beer.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2017 Can from Ezo Beer served in a pint glass. It pours a clear gold with a thin weak head. It has a mild fruity aroma with grainy notes. The taste is sweet & fruity with a crisp finish. More blond ale than lager to me flavor wise but OK.

Had it as HUB Pilsner recently and it was like a somewhat sweet and fruity US lager.

Can: Poured a golden with white fluffy head. Aroma is soggy cardboard and grass. Taste is very bitter, wet upfront and corn grain finish.

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2015 Have to re-rate. Kind of a staple now for the non-geek part of family gatherings. Big cans are a nice staple beer to have in the fridge. Sample tray. Gold. Grain and alcohol scent. Flavour is a little malt liquorish.
