This beer is the closest I’ve found to an American brewery brewing a true czech style pilsner. They use true saaz hops, pilsner malts and yeast. The nose has a strong saaz aroma similar to Bernard but with a cleaner smell. The lacing is almost more distinct than Budvar and the taste is crisp and flavorful with a strong hop character though not overpowering the malts so a balance still exists. Truly a fine pilsner as recongnized by the world beer cup 2008 gtox (4) - Vancouver, Washington, USA - JUN 17, 2008 does not count
I can’t get enough of this one. HUB does a great job and the use of authentic Saaz make this a fine beer to taste.

Tap at Hopworks. Aroma of grassy hops, a lovely complex bready graininess, slight dry, champagne-like fruitiness. Flavor has a juicy fruitiness with increasing grain complexity and a heap of bitterness from the hops. An in-your-face, but at the same time subtle and complex pils. hamfisted (74) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 13, 2011
I really like this IPA. Big bottle, pours nicely with a good head and colour. Citrus tones and hops that are not overpowering but are assertive. Flavourful! madvike (3264) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 1, 2012
Can from brewolf...thanks Michael! - Pours straw yellow with a thin white head. Light doughy, spicy yeast, sweet pale grain, and a nice floral hoppiness. Taste is the same, with a very drying spiciness on the finish. A bit astringent, but clean and floral and sharp. Big carbonation, nice and fluffy.

can @ salone del gusto (papazian event). it pours light golden with a huge white head on top. Good bitterness and very well balanced. Great beer, best lager at all for me! Eyrish (92) - British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 18, 2013
Dark yellow pour, fading head with lacing left over. Aroma of hops and some malts. Clean and fresh, with a crisp bitter sweet taste. A very drinkable beer. Little bit of hops in the burp... great Czech example. Beauty!! thanks Lagerboy. oregoniansteve (1) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 19, 2008 does not count
Love the fact that you can get an organic lager that you can actually taste. It’s was on tap at the Waypost on North Williams in Portland. maekchu (3917) - Hirakata, JAPAN - FEB 23, 2013
Draught at the brewery during Zwickelmania 2013. Served by the owner, Christian. Very nice fresh grassy aroma. Clear bright yellow. Sweet, grassy initial / little hop bites in mid, with some cereal and caramel / a bit of cloying sweetness in the finish. Good legs on the final bitterness. Great mouthfeel. A very good, fresh-tasting pils. Satisfying stuff. Lagerboy (2206) - British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 10, 2013
473 ml can. Chill hazed lager yellow, decent foamy white head slowly settles and mostly fades. Sweet malt leafy hop aroma. Bready sweet pils malt, herbal earthy hop taste, some citrus and spice. Average carbonation, lighter bodied, adequately hopped. Solid from the start to the lightly bitter finish, a mighty fine pilsener. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)
