On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange amber with a thin white head. A touch of pine on the nose, a bit of citrus. Malt, a touch of sweetness. Medium bodied, soft malt, toast and a good amount of bitter earth. Pith and grapefruit into the finish, long pungent bitterness.

On tap @ Både &. Unclear golden with a nice off-white head. Aroma is dominated by hops, citric fruit, peach and fresh grass, but also some pale malt. Flavor has some pale malt as a basic but the hops dominates here as well. Strong citric, peach, marmalade and some grassy/herbal finish. It’s almost a bit like tasting hop pellets, but in a positive way with a decent malt base. Fine balanced body and long lasting bitter aftertaste. Got this very fresh, but it one of the finest IPA I have had in a long time. Solid, in your face no nonsense IPA.

Bottle from Brewers Haven. Milky orange golden body with small bubbly head. Mildly sweet aroma, some hops , some malts. Taste brings on additional sweetness, some citrus fruitiness. Gentle hops bitterness at the back. Classic IPA, well balanced.

Can from a deli. Big waft of citrus, soap, pine, mushrooms on popping the can. Pours hazy orange, foamy white head. Huge hoppy lemony first mouthful, followed by loads of juice, then a honeyed finish. First beer on a trip to the NW US and it’s a cracker.

Can at home. Semi-hazy caramel pour with a medium height tan head with OK retention. Aroma notes of caramel, dank cellar and citrus. The taste follows the same notes, with an addition of green grass, herbal hops, a bit of honey, Medium body and carbonation, smooth and velvety texture and a bitter-sweet finish. Another great example of an old-school, malt-forward, super-smooth IPA.
