A "robust" porter under 5% abv? I had my doubts but the body and flavor of this beer were significantly bigger than the 4.8 implied. Smooth too, with a roasted malt backbone, light earthy hops and a nice chocoalte finish."

On tap at the brewpub - Pours dark brown with a beige head. The aroma has smooth chocolate, cocoa and roasted dough. It has a medium smooth body with a light husky feel and mild carbonation. The flavor starts drier than the aroma, but still has cocoa and chocolate notes. There is also distinct roastiness and some cracker. The finish has a nice coffee roastiness. Nice porter. pdx77 (1483) - Oregon, USA - MAR 16, 2014
