Can from TNT Taisho. L: pours a slightly cloudy caramel-red with a nice fluffy off-white head. S: plenty of grapefruit, sweetened caramel malt. T: strong citrus hop flavour, the sourness of grapefruit meshing nicely with the sweetness and malt. F: has a bitter finish, almost spoiling the taste at first, but it settles and has a good creamy balance. O: a satisfying IRA, plenty of bite with a refreshing citrus burst.

On nitro at Hopworks Bikebar. Pours a clear copper gold with medium creamy off white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is grass and grapefruit. Medium mouth, bready malt, pine, light bitterness, good.

Drinkable for the style. It is hard to do a really outstanding IRA and this one is not bad. Not great, but totally agreeable with a steak dinner. Nice looking beer on draught with just enough head. Worth a try.

Pours a hazy amber red with a creamy off-white head. Aromas of citrusy hops backed by caramel malt. Hoppy flavour with caramel malt and a good bitter finish. Medium body.

Can (6.1%) from Trader Joe’s. Pretty fresh canned on the 7th. Deep crystal clear amber in color. Hoppy nose. Some grapefruit, along with a little dankness. Some candy sugar as well. Well hopped. Pretty pungent flavors with a decent amount of malt character. Finish is a little lacking, but overall a very good amber.

Draught. Pours a somewhat hazy dark amber color with a moderate light tan head on there. Nose has quite a bit of floral and citrus notes, which was a nice little surprise. Taste is slightly bitter up front, but quickly changes to a muddled malty sweet finish with dough. Great smell, odd finish.
