Poured into a snifter. Copper color, almost transparent held up to the light with a half inch of white head. Smells like a handfull of hops. Sharp citrus with malty notes. Initial watery taste, then the hops kicking in some bitterness and a slight malty sweetness. There does not seem to be any complexity, pretty one-sided and unbalanced by the bitter. Crisp and bubbly. Light body and quick finish. Not really excited about this beer. The nose and appearance were really good, but the taste was a let down. Not a great drink, but not bad either.

enjoyed my CaN on a bus, on the way to crosby hop farms for a party during cbc in portland .. . light caramel, burlap, dried grass, sap .. mouth feels like its on parole, runs the finish down .. good red ale .. . . just stapling my arm at the back of the math classroom.

22 shared. Nice red, surprisingly balanced - more hoppy amber than red ipa, if that makes sense. Lght citrus and pine, bread and caramel in the nose and feel. Average body. Nice.

Can shared in Yoyogi park. Quite rich caramel malt character with notes of red fruit, some juicy citrus in there too, bitter finish. Ok stuff, even though not exactly that impressed by HUB so far.

Tallboy can from Mitsuya. Drank straight from the can. Big ruby red grapefruit and light pine aromas with a touch of caramel on the nose. Average carbonation with a medium body. Very well-balanced but hop forward. The grapefruit really comes out nicely. Classic NW hops. Finishes with a fruity bitterness. Solid.

AgentAle (1808) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 15, 2015
Aroma is roasty malts, slight funk and earthiness, citrus, pinecone, and lemon grass. Taste is sweet malts with caramel passionfruit. Transitions into deep hops with notes like that of the aroma. Slight clove and tanin on finish. Appearance is a slightly hazy orange with a medium fluffy head that retains quite well.
