22oz bottle picked up in Federal Way Masterkush7 (580) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 21, 2014
Clear dark brown with a medium sized beige head, good lacing. Aroma of dark malts and floral. Taste of roasted malts, pine and chocolate
Pours fairly dark with a tan head. The aroma has roasted malt and tropical hops. The body is fairly full with soft carbonation. The flavor begins with roast, coffee, pine and tropical fruits. The finish has some citrus and the roast is not as obvious. Good black IPA.

Bomber, dark pour with a caramel colored head. This is a roasted malty hoppy drink with a slight coffee note on the finish, we’ll balanced. I’d do it again, and again.... The more I drink it, the more I like it. slowrunner77 (12044) - Reno, Nevada, USA - AUG 29, 2014
Dark and chewy, with a nice mocha meets grapefruit thing going on on the nose and the palate. Super solid black ipa from a brewer I expected less from. maekchu (3911) - Hirakata, JAPAN - AUG 20, 2014
Tap at Hopworks BikeBar. Light chocolate nose, with some anise. Dark translucent brown. Gentle roasty initial, with chocolate, and some grain, decent bittering. Finish fades out quickly. Medium body. The high IBU level is not quite apparent in the flavor. Okay.

Bottled. Very nice. Excellently hoppy, nice cascade flavours. Excellent mouth feel. Definitely drink again. Sarlacc83 (2287) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 6, 2014
A: Opaque root beer brown according to my wife. (black. It’s black.) with a thin, creme colored head.
N: Hops display themselves through spruce, biscuit, cocoa, coffee, touch of black raspberries even. Mango and pineapple. Marshmallow.
T: Bittersweet in equal proportions.
M: Medium body bordering on thick. Lighter level if carbonation.
O: A coniferous beast with a spritzing of sweets. Maybe too sweet, actually. dslam (103) - surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 14, 2014
Port from a 650 ml bottle. Dark brown colour medium white head about 2 fingers high. I smell hints of roast malt and some creamy chocolate. Tastes a little bit like a porter without the coffee. Has a pretty smooth taste at first, but leaves a grainy charred taste behind, that begs you to take another sip. Kind of reminds me of the slightly charred taste of something grilled with coal.its minute and there but it’s quite nice. Might recommend it with spicy food. pictoman (1127) - British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 14, 2014
Poured from 1pint 6fl oz bottle. Dark brown with beige head. Medium citrus hop aroma with slight roast malt and a little lactosey chocolate hint. Same taste with a bit stronger resiny hop flavour leaving a bitter finish with a touch of chocolate. IndianaRed (4617) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 27, 2014
On Tap at the River Room, Whole Foods, Boise. Clear dark redish brown. Dense tan head. Muted faint aromas of light west coast citrusy hops and a touch of toasted malt. Flavor is definiately down a notch from standard CDAs in its sessionability but it i still and nice example of the style.
