Cask Conditioned Gravity Dispense Merton BF. Didn’t stand much of a chance really after the previous three beers, but saved me from queuing for more tokens! Light amber with a thin off-white head. The aroma is malty and a little woody. Earthy hops in the mouth with some tea and more woodiness. Run of the mill but ok. Hazy copper color, minimum head. Very nice aroma of hops and malt, a bit earthy, with hop flowers. The mouthfeel is smooth enough in the beginning, but later it shows its low gravity; it has a very good flavor of caramel and a good hopping, juicy and a bit resiny. Correct final. One of the best below 4% ABV.
Gravity at Wolverhampton Beer Festival 208. Amber with no head and hardly any scent. Some citrus and floral notes in the aroma. Quite carbonated and a bit watery. Some orange in the mouth but generally not much taste other than a fleeting earthiness. Some bitterness at the end. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 2, 2008
A Mes rate: gravicask at Peterborough Beer Festival.
Mid golden brown with a slight bubbly collar. Awesome sweet biscuity malt with an unexpected coffee note. Superb citric and earthy finish. Drinkable, enjoyable and just quality stuff all round. I like this brewer.
