On tap at Basement Beer Bar. A more or less black one, almost flat and headless. There’s a lot of barrel and a good dash of booze in the aroma. Tar, roasted malts, licorice and some prunes. It’s full bodied, warming and soft on the palate, lightly acidic. Tar, licorice, wood and booze in the mouth, lasting for a very long time. Warming, lightly boozy finish with everything found initially. A wonderful one, but a tad too warming. 150301
