English: We have brewed on this beer on a long time and we finally think it is a should. A very majestic stout with a hint of roasted barley malt, smoke malt, coffee, some spices and to top it all a drop of rum. The beer has been seasoned on oak wood. This beer can stored many years in a dark closet or cellar, but is also ready to drink when it leaves our brewery. Buy an extra bottle and stash it for a special occasion in some years. It will develop like a god wine- only get better and better by the years.

Could have been called Rum and Raisin. Lovely aroma with a really balanced rum presence throughout.

Tap at CBC Brixton. Pours a dense black/brown with a tan head. Aroma is coffee, choc and prune juice. Medium to full body, fine carbonation which makes it tinglier than most big stouts I've had. And this is big and sticky. It's coffee initially, then the dark fruits - prune, figs. The rum isn't massive, just present. There's treacle too, and a meatiness with soy/teriyaki. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Black color with a small tan head. Roasted malt, chocolate, alcohol and some coffee. Flavor is roasted malt, dark chocolate, some alcohol and burnt notes. Full bodied. Aftertaste is roasted with some bitterness.

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2017 Tap at Øltorget. 11% aged in rum barrels then added 30 bottles of rum. Thick pitch black pour with a rich tan head. Dark coffee & mild rum aroma. Coffee, some chocolate, vanilla, toffee & maybe some sweetness from the rum. Very nice.

---2017--- 10% Bottle shared by Mick and drunk out of some soju glasses in Kyoto. Deep inky black with a rusty tan head. The nose is rum and soy sauce. Medium to full bodied, very smokey, oakey, peatey and soy. Tasty but odd as I didn’t expect that smoke/peat component. Ap 4 ar 8 t 8 p 4 o 14 score overall was the same but individual values shifted a bit. Appearance went down while Aroma went up.

Keg at CBC. Pitch black with a low, dark brown head. Burnt nose with bacon, coffee, brown sugar, soy sauce. Super sweet flavor, soy sauce, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, burnt toast. Over-the-top. Tasty but too super sweet and cloying.

Noire. Gros collet. Mousse moka. Nez: boisé. Cacao. Alcool. Cannelle. Truffe au chocolat. Bouche: liquoreuse sans être trop sucré. Belle amertume. Café. Épicé. Boisé. Rhum. Ne fais vraiment pas son alcool. Herbacé. Torréfié. Légèrement sucré (pour le %). Chocolat. Sublime.

Pours pitch black, with a rich creamy beige head. The head dissipates quickly, but leaves some lacing behind. Aroma is predominantly burnt and smoky, with some coffee notes in there as well. Good creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is smoky on the palate, with bitter and roasted coffee malts in the finish. Some hints of oak as well, the rum is hardly noticeable though. I give this one thumbs up, a fine imperial stout.

NosirIwont (2549) - Frederikssund, DENMARK - JUL 29, 2013
Bottle. 10.0%. Best before 19.06.23. Pours black with a khaki/brown head. Good lacing. Aroma is sweetish and roasted, with a coffee note, and feels a bit tart, which interrupts the experience. Slight watery feel to it. Light wooden notes as it warms. Flavour is sweetish and roasted with a light dark fruit note. Feels heavy, but with a vineuse character as well. Quite bitter coffee finish, dry and with a mild alcohol burn. A bit too much carbonation. Overall good, but nothing our of the ordinary; aroma lacks a bit, while flavour is good andsomewhat complex, but ’why is the rum gone?’ 20.07.13.
