COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: We have brewed on this beer on a long time and we finally think it is a should. A very majestic stout with a hint of roasted barley malt, smoke malt, coffee, some spices and to top it all a drop of rum. The beer has been seasoned on oak wood. This beer can stored many years in a dark closet or cellar, but is also ready to drink when it leaves our brewery. Buy an extra bottle and stash it for a special occasion in some years. It will develop like a god wine- only get better and better by the years.

500 ml bottle shared with czar, thank mate! Pours black with a resilient beige head. Smell is roast, chocolate, alcohol (rum?). Flavor is chocolate, coffee, dark rum. Boozey finish, good bitterness. Medium body, sticky mouthfeel. Just an excellent product.

pours black with a nice beige head, good retention and lacing. loads of piney and roastiness, some burnt malts, molasses, dark demerara, smoky, woody - vanilla hints, softly boozy and sweet, almost cloying. average to soft carbonation, full body, nice resinous finish. nice and good but kind of forgettable - burnt malts and sweetness gets at you.

Finale amarognolo persistente e molto piacevole. Buonissima imperial stout.

Pitch black liquid with a creamy thick head that seems to last forever. Heavy peated aroma. Taste is smoky aswell. Also some leather. Very different from what I expected.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2014 50cl. bottle. Pitch black with a lovely shortlived one-finger brown head. Smells of smokey coffee and a hint of alcohol. Tastes of roasted coffee, malt, chocolate, licorice and a bit of rum in the aftertaste. Lovely rich and thick mouthfeel. Fantastic stout. _Edit: a couple of years later (and having had it many times in the meantime - both on bottle and tap) I’ve decided to knock off a couple of points - I like it, but it’s not really a 4.7 beer as I’d originally rated it as. This new score should better reflect how I’d rate it today if it was was my first time having it.

Pours pitch black with a toffee colored head that lingers for a while. Nose is boozy, with rum notes and a considerable amount of roasted malt. Flavor-wise there is a good malt backbone shining with a decent amount of sweetness covered by roasted malt that comes out ashy at times (which I despise usually, but this time I’m able to get over it). Alcohol is well hidden and the syrupy mouthfeel from the restrained carbonation makes the experience really enjoyable only in small quantities.

Draught at Oluthuone Leskinen, Oulu. Colour is almost black with brownish white head. Aromas and flavours are alcohol, chocolate, rum and roasted malts. Oily and hard to drink.
