COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: We have brewed on this beer on a long time and we finally think it is a should. A very majestic stout with a hint of roasted barley malt, smoke malt, coffee, some spices and to top it all a drop of rum. The beer has been seasoned on oak wood. This beer can stored many years in a dark closet or cellar, but is also ready to drink when it leaves our brewery. Buy an extra bottle and stash it for a special occasion in some years. It will develop like a god wine- only get better and better by the years.

Black with thin head. Aroma has lots of dark burnt malts. Some smokiness. Flavour is similar but a bit of alcoholic burn is present. I get a little wood but no rum. The harshness in the aftertaste is really heavy.

Chocolate, bizcocho, vainilla, licor. Sedosa en boca, equilibrada con chocolate de dulce a amargo.

Wow. Virkelig en øl med gods i. Dejlig fyldig smag og ikke for tung. Smag på Ølfestival, København

A little note of rum on the nose. A strong Imperial Stout attack, but then it fades quite quickly, and doesn’t develop anyting particularly interesting on the palate. Not really well balanced, it’s not a really good Imperial Stout and what’s supposed to be original in it is almost not there.

From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours black with brownish foam, limited and fine. Aroma is vanilla, coffee, nuts. Body is dense, with good stickiness. Some astringency as well. Taste is somehow sweet at first, immediately overcome by a good amount of bitterness. Finish is long, with a good residue of bitterness.

UPDATED: APR 3, 2017 PL:Piwo absolutnie czarne, ciemno beżowa piana szybko znika, szkła nie zdobi. Aromat - solidna beczkowy, kawowy, podwędzany, lekka nuta wanilii, bardzo intensywny. Smak - początkowo super czekoladowe, szybko ujawniają się intensywne nuty beczkowe, potem wysoka, palona i lekko alkoholowa goryczka, w tle cały czas lekka wędzoność. Gazu średnio, ciało też średnie - nie jest przesadnie gęste czy wyklejające. Posmak długi, beczkowy i wytrawny, minimalnie czekoladowy. Fantastyczne piwo, na tą chwilę w mojej życiowej czołówce. Nie ma 5/5 bo beczka czasami przykrywa resztę. EN: Aroma is intense, dominated by barrel and coffee, then come hints of smoke and vanilla. Taste - heavy chocolate and barrel, high roasted bitterness, smoky notes in the background. Aftertaste is dry, woody. medium body, average carbonation. Extremely good!

EerieDrinks (299) - Malm, SWEDEN - MAR 21, 2017
4 finger light tan head. A shade lighter than pitch black, very deep reddish brown. Aroma is woody, smokey, fruity coffee, chocolate and a hint of sweet rum and citrus. Taste is smokey coffee, slightly bitter dark fruits and a hint of chocolate. No rum to be found in the taste. The smokiness and burnt wood is at the forefront here. Thin, a bit watery and a short aftertaste. Very dry at the back. Quite ’small’ beer for the ABV, in terms of mouthfeel. Well, this was dissappointing..

Pilsnertest (296) - SWEDEN - MAR 17, 2017
Bottle at home. Quite dry taste of yesterday's coffee, liquorice, green peppers and smoked salami. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

DuffMan (10664) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 12, 2017
Bottle. Very dark opaque brown, light brown head. Bitter chocolate, light vanilla and dusty wood. Not really rummy at all. Full bodied by lacking the run complexity I hoped for.
