Drunk to celebrate my rating number 22,800. Bottled. A pitch black beer with a huge very dark brown head. The aroma has notes of rhum, chocolate, roasted malt, alcohol, caramel, and wood. The flavor very sweet with notes of alcohol, roasted malt, burnt wood, caramel, rhum, and some chocolate, leading to a dry woody, roasted, and alcoholic finish. joergen (28704) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 1, 2008

Black opaque colour, small head. Aroma is smoke, roasted malts, caramel, alcohol and some mild wooden and earthy tones. Flavour is roasted malts, some caramel as well as mild alcohol, chocolate and coffee. A pleasant and nicely balanced stout.
Bottled at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. Black as night, no head. Aroma of rum and tar. Coffee in syrup with a bit of caramel. Medium-full bodied with rounded moutfheel. Not really homogenous, it feels like it’s blown up and the chcolate and tar is separated by a rift of soda. cgarvieuk (25222) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 22, 2008

Opaque black beer, short lived chocolate coloured head. Light soft and dry palate. Rich dark malt, unsweet dark chocolate. Unsweet woody tones, minerals. Not a bad stout but where is the rum? maybe a light trace of it in the finish. Whisper of banana. Stands on it’s own merit but was hoping for much more.
UPDATED: MAR 28, 2009 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of joergen. Pours completely opaque black with a small and creamy off-white head. Aroma of burned malt and rum. Quite full-bodied with burned, ashy malt and a lightly whiff of rum. Dry and burned finish. Sweet but nice. The alcohol is surprisingly well hidden. 310808
