DraftDodger (1574) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 16, 2017
Copenhagen 16/8-2017. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Weird looking cat standing on roof tiles on the label. Pours very dark maroon with big off-white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam. No lacing. Aroma is sweetish with a fruity touch. Roasted malts and a little smoke. Lingering bitterness. Surprisingly strong carbonation and watery palate. Flavor is medium sweet followed by slightly lighter bitterness. Aftertaste is medium bitter. Pleasant if somewhat strange interpretation of an Dunkel.

tricksta_p (4763) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - APR 22, 2017
From bottle at Bierfestival Groningen 2017. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, touch of ash, some earthy notes and dark chocolate with a hint of peat. Flavour is moderate sweet and nicely bitter. Body is medium. Nicely roasty Dunkel-ish beer.

Pinball (12167) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 27, 2017
very dark brown, nearly pitch dark, smooth light brown head. solid roasted malty aroma, depth, faint smoked notes. Flavor is roasted malts, sweet malts resembling honey, roasted to smoked notes, nice aftertaste. Pretty good flavor for the style and percentage change, A very solid one if this kind.

ulrikolsen (576) - DENMARK - DEC 3, 2016
[email protected] Pours very dark brown, almost black with beige head. Aroma is roasted, with dark grain, hints of coffee and notes of hay. Taste is roasted but light in mouthfeel and has some grain, hints of coffee, and I wouldn’t characterize this as a dark Czech lager at all! More like a porter, way too roasted and has some yeasty notes that are inappropriate for this style. A rare miss from Hornbeer, I would say.

Myonlyvice (320) - DENMARK - DEC 2, 2016
Very dark, almost black. Tan creamy head. Dark roasted coffee aroma. Medium sweetness and above medium Bitterness.

thewolf (12631) - Kolding, DENMARK - OCT 22, 2016
Bottle, [email protected], Middelfart. Pours deep black with a very large, frothy, off-white head. Aroma has sweet malts, light roasted, mild nuts and chocolate. Feels a bit overcarbonated. Yeah. Highish, prickly carbonation, dry and slightly watery mouthfeel. Flavour is mild, firm roasted, quite bitter finish. A bit below par for Hornbeer.

2.8
