COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

[email protected] A Wmber colour, small beige head. Aroma is quite fruity, wooden, mild flowery notes as well. Flavour is quite much the same along with quite big grassyness. Also quite much caramel malts. With yeast poured in it turns more mellow and gets more fullbodied in the flavour.

14-SEP-2009 @Ølbaren. Long lasting off-white head on brownish/dark amber body. Actually surprisingly dark. Bitter grape fruit and pine, but also very malty, something that some brewers tend to "forget" in their IPA’s. Not overly refreshing, but then the malt-thing balances that. Fine IPA. Very drinkable.

Bottle from Bierkoning. Dark brown body with healthy, rocky head. Hoppy and smoky nose. Nice flavour of hops, pine and grapefruit. Texture is very smooth and cream. Drank this perhaps a tad too warm - couldn’t wait - but enjoyed it nonetheless.

Sample from a bottle. Hazy dark amber with an orange glow. and a medium off white head. The aroma is sweet malt, with notes of caramel and lots of light grassy hops. Taste follows the nose with notes of citrus. Good creamy mouthfeel, moderately bitter with a long bitter finish.

500ml bottle from IPB..
Appearance : Amber with small head.
Aroma : Resinous and piny hops with caramel. Nice woody notes. Light overcooked caramel notes. Toffee. Nice balance between malt and hops even if I’m not a big fan of caramel malt in IPAs.
Taste : Piny and resinous hops with caramel. Light alcohol. Finish quite resinous and piny with caramel. Persistent resinous notes. Slightly oily.
Overall : Not bad. Caramel malt is quite present but it’s rather well integrated with the hops. This could almost be a light Barley Wine or something like that. Tasty but not exactly what I’m looking for.

On tap at CBC Brixton. Pours an amber colour with a slightly off white head. Aroma is decent - candy sweetness, with some passion fruit and red berries. Medium body, medium carbonation. Pine, light caramel, wood, grapefruit, light sherbet fruitiness. A touch too sweet maybe, but overall nicely balanced and really pretty tasty.
