Bottle. 9.0%. Best before 12.12.19. Pours a clear, deep reddish amber, with a tan head. Good lacing. Sweetish, hoppy aroma, with a dusty, (dark) fruit note and a light tart overtone. Light malt in the background. Spicy notes as it warms; cloves, anise and fledgling hints of mint. Flavour is hoppy, with (dark) fruits, light malt and notes of cloves and anise. Bitter finish with a light sugary/molasses note. Lingering bitter coffee note followed by ashy, berry and grassy notes. Hints of chocolate as it warms. A wee bit too much carbonation. Overall good; a lot of different things going on in this one, but it’s fairly well-balanced. 15.06.17. Skinnyviking (9550) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 27, 2017
