50 cl bottle, pours dark with pretty much no head, aroma of yeast, licorice, spices, caramel and dark fruit, taste follows the nose, smooth mouthfeel, fairly weak finish, pleasant but boring. fonefan (51109) - VestJylland, DENMARK - DEC 8, 2010

Unclear medium to dark orange amber color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy and open, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, spicy, moderate yeasty, fruity, anis, a mess IMO. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, spicy bitter, very messy more like a home brews version of a belgium xmas beer. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Pours copper with a beige head. Aroma is caramel, fruit and light coriander. Flavour is caramel, fruit, light staranise and coriander. TBone (18227) - Pori, FINLAND - DEC 3, 2010

20-NOV-2010, bottle @Ekstra Bladets Juleølssmagning.
Light brown color, slightly unclear.
Very yeasty spicey nose.
Sweet, but not overly sweet. Perfect belgian inspired X-mas brew.
This is definately better than previous years...and certainly cleaner:-) Rune (13508) - Tromsø, NORWAY - NOV 19, 2010
500ml bottle shared with Skinnyviking. Nice label design, as always with the bottles from Hornbeer. The content has a unclear brownish body colour topped by a creamy, beige head. Malt-spicy aroma. Sweet caramel in flavour mixed with spices and herbal dryness. Medium bodied. Rather unvaried and lacks the Yuletide spirit (hotel room, Copenhagen 07.11.2010). On tap. Hazy, dark orangey brown with a beige head. Sweetish aroma of brown sugar, Christmas spices and Belgian yeast. Full-bodied, sweet caramel, coriander, star aniseed and again Belgian yeast. Hardly any hops to balance the sticky sweetness. Many would probably consider this a "true" Christmas beer - to me it’s just a sticky mess really. 091110
