0.5L bottle, brought home from Lønnebjerg, Vig, Sjælland. A brief orangey-shaded blond head, resting on a cloudy deep red colored body. Prominent berry aroma. Sweet-scented, kind of mellowed cranberries. Some ashy notes, and a strange whiff of medicine-like phenoles. Taste is acidic-sweet berry-fruity. Not genuin berry-ish, but juicy with tones of acidic acids. Less than medium full. Slick texture. Sugar-sweet and tart fruity ending. A strange brew, with some off-notes. Draught @ Kaisla, Helsinki. Originally rated on 21.5.2010. Okay fruit beer with notes of fruits, oak and vanilla. Cranberry notes come through a bit too much. Slightly unbalanced.

Kinda weird fruitbeer to me. Normally I like the color but not the smell and taste, but in this case I didn’t like the color but smell and taste were pretty decent. Nice carbo and fine body as well. Not bad at all. Camons (13495) - Hasselager, DENMARK - JUL 2, 2011

This beer is a bit sour but not as much as a gueuze. Nice on a hot summer day. pantanap (3367) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 24, 2011
Hornbeer oak aged cranberry bastard. On tap at schouskjelleren...
Pours a mostly murky deep toffee brown and topped with thin to medium
off-white head... Aroma of tart, sour cranberry with a little oak and
tart cherry and very light vinegar. Some pale malt in the
background... Flavors are much ofthe same, sourness is a little dialed
down but then a smokiness presents itself midway through. Medium,
pretty full bodied with light to medium carbonation. Nice and
different take on a sour/wild.
