COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Allerede i 1200-tallet var byen Einbeck i Tyskland vidt berømt for sit velsmagende øl. Man bryggede her en stærk, mørk ale på hvede og byg. Den blev eksporteret flittigt til alle egne af Europa. Også til Bayern, hvor man yndede øllet ved kurfyrstens hof i München. Man blev så begejstret for denne stærkøl, at man bad en brygmester fra Einbeck om at bosætte sig i byen. Her blev en Einbeck forvandlet til Ein Bock, en varm og velsmagende øl til alle måltider. Hornbeer har genskabt den mørke, overgærede DoppelBock, som blev serveret i middelalderens gæstgiverier og i hjem, hvor man satte pris på livets glæder.
