Bottle at home.
Clear orange with a large light brown head, some lacings. Aroma moderate malty (caramel), heavy hoppy. Flavor medium sweet, heavy hoppy, dryhopped. Medium+ body. Nice. Beer5000 (6494) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 18, 2011
500 ml bottle. Dark golden with a big, creamy off-white head. Pleasant aroma of mild fruity hops and caramel malt. Flavor is fruity, malty, caramel with a soft and nice bitterness. Medium body. This is not much of an IPA, more a rather straightforward and unpretentious ale in general. Still a perfectly balanced and very likable beer. Forget the expectation for an IPA and just enjoy a good and refreshing ale. Camons (12451) - Hasselager, DENMARK - JUL 2, 2011
UPDATED: JUL 1, 2012 Bottle @ Home. Pours hazy brown with a offwhite head. Aroma of malt, grassy hops. Taste is malt, caramel, grassy hops. Medium body, soft carbonation. 200310. 5-3-6-3-11
Re-rate. Bottle @ Christers. Pours golden with a offwhite head. Aroma of malt, fresh citrusly hops. Taste is malt, citruss. Medium body, soft carbonation. 250612. JanLaursen (3227) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 26, 2011
Hazy light brown color, not very inviting to look at. Sweet aroma of Munich malt. The taste is also sweet with some hop bitterness. Medium body and medium long aftertaste. Not the best brew from Hornbeer. Rune (12830) - Tromsø, NORWAY - APR 25, 2011
500ml bottle, bb.05.03.13, properly stored in my beer cellar for more than one year. Bought at Barley Wine in Copenhagen. Pours a very nice golden-brown body supported by a rocky, off-white lacing-head. The last pour is more or less like mud. Plain fruit hoppy aroma. Caramel malts and fruity hops in flavour added by a touch of mild spices. Smooth bittersweet aftertaste. Uncomplicated and likable (Tromsø, 24.04.2011).

(Bottle 23/4-2011) Brown unclear color, low head, slightly bitter, moderate sweet, slightly strange hoppy aroma and taste. It’s like the yeast, malt and hop doesn’t really fit together. About 2 years to BB date. It’s still drinkable, I would not call this an IPA. Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 22, 2011
It’s unclear, actually quite murky brown with a small, creamy head. The aroma has notes of flower, fruit, caramel and hay. The flavour is sweet with notes of caramel, citrus, fruit, and the dry, slightly bitter finish has a weird mix of grapefruit and hay – IMO not very harmonic. 500ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki)mjs (7413) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 15, 2011
5 Hoppy aroma, piney. Some spice - clove.
4 Deep orange, brief head
6- Sticky sweet caramelly palate. Unsubtle hoppiness - pine and citrus.
3 Smooth palate, OK carbonation.
10 Not bad in the Danish IPA/APA style, but not really to my taste.
(Bottle, 0.5 l, at Pikkulintu) The beer poured brown and a little bit hazy. Its head was small and white. Aroma had hops, fruitiness, citricness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, malts, caramell, sweetness, hops, citricness, pine and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. Nice fruity IPA. 50 cl bottle, pours a muddy dark golden, aroma of caramel, yeast and a slight floral note, taste follows the nose, sticky mouthfeel, not very hoppy at all, not my thing.
