Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Orange with a white head. The aroma is full of wheat, oranges, pears and white pepper. The flavor is similar with some juicy orange notes as well as some pepper, wheat and leather. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Boekanier (135) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 31, 2013
Whatever the type of this beer may be, its aroma is very complex. The best before date was 03-15-13, maybe this contributes to the peculiar nose. Taste reminds of a sweet dubbel, slightly bitter aftertaste. Palate is ok at first, decreases a bit (lack of carbonation). Admittedly, this bottle might have been too old, but in this case it’s a bit disappointing.

HopRedHead (397) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUL 13, 2013
Bottle from Barley Wine, CPH. Pours cloudy golden brown with a short, soft khaki head. Big caramel, pine and tropical fruit aroma. Loads of hops and a nice sweet malty backbone. Taste is big for a pale ale, big tropical hop profile with a prominent caramel malt character. Nice bitterness without being a kick in the face. Awesome pale.

Cunningham (8528) - Halden, NORWAY - JUL 11, 2013

Appearance: Hazy dark amber color with a fine thick off white head that leaves a fine lacing.
Aroma: Caramel malty, flower power hoppy and fruity.
Palate: Medium body. Slightly sweet and a fine bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Balanced and nice dominating caramel malty, fruity and fresh hoppy.
Overall impression:A little mix between winter ale and summer ale. Well there we got spring. Nice tasty ale.

The taste is orange peel candies, some caramel. White pepper and more herbs. Lemon meat. Grassy, summery meadow. Light body, fine carbonation. Overall, bright flavors. Intriguing stuff. Good.

nazzty (1377) - Ödåkra - Helsingborg, SWEDEN - MAY 25, 2013
Unbalanced and sprawling. The aroma in the glass is nice and foam good, but inside the mouth wrestling flavors without harmony. Well hopped without being bitter.
