scirtes (715) - POLAND - FEB 1, 2015
UPDATED: FEB 19, 2015 500 ml bottle, best before: 12.12.2024. Black, oily, with brown head. Beautiful aroma of dark chocolate, licorice, and hints of pipe tobacco. Distinct chili bitterness, with long aftertaste of chili and chocolate. Very spicy, but interesting beer.

03, l w KiK. Barwa: Czarna, nieprzejrzysta, bardzo lepka. W smaku kakao, palone słody, czekolada, wanilia, chilii. Na początku wspaniała słodycz gorzkiej czekolady, wanilii, następnie bardzo piekące posmaki chili i innych przypraw bliżej nieokreślonych. Mocno grzeje przełyk. Bardzo piekące,męczące, ciężko dopić do końca. Mocny, ciekawy, konkretny RIS.

Bottle 0,5l. Pours nice black with a beige head. Aroma is something I’ve never experienced in a beer, unfortunately not in a good way. Smells like Chili, liqorice and chocolate mixed, I like those things separately but in this cocktail I find the mix most disturbing. Taste is a bit better, mostly chocolate coming through and finishing with a lot of lingering pepper/chili.

Joakgust (1487) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 16, 2015
Bottle. Opaque black brown beer with a beige head. Aroma is malty with notes of caramel, dried fruit, chili, chocolate, coffee and licorice. Flavor is spicy with notes of caramel, chili, licorice, dried fruit, chocolate and spices. Ok, a bit to much spice aroma.

magicmn (178) - Moscow, RUSSIA - JAN 10, 2015
Spicy aroma with lot of anise. Taste reallly weird - start is dominated by anise and other spiсies then you can feel chocolate and after all there is stron enough chili aftertaste. Interesting for a beergeek.

Metalchopz (3530) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 9, 2015
Pours a black-brown colour with hardly any highlights. Creamy, bubbly head, mocha-coloured, long lasting and thick foamy lacing. Big cocoa and chocolate nose. The taste is not as chocolaty, but with roasted malts, licorice, grass and the chili powder showing in the finish. Kind of messy balance at first, but with some breathing, chocolate come out to help the flavours. The is notes of rustiness that kill the rest. The mouthfeel is pretty smooth and this goes down very nicely for 10% ABV. Wish the taste was better balanced. The best before date is in 2023, so maybe the other bottles I have might get better with time.

RumRunner101 (918) - Alberta, CANADA - JAN 1, 2015
Thick, jet black pour with light brown pour. Aroma of burnt malts, black coffee, molasses, licorice. Molasses, licorice, burnt bread, coffee, rum. Lingering pepper heat. Too boozy and spicy. Whoa.

teddybeer (4114) - Madrid, SPAIN - DEC 28, 2014
Black color with a quickly dissapearing tan head, medium lacing. Aroma has strong black chocolate notes, some roasted and licorice. Flavor has coffee beans and black chocolate traces, high presence of licorice. The final is roasty with chocolate and light chili hints in the mouthfeel.

3.4
patricks110 (2659) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 24, 2014
Written rating from Copenhagen Beerfest. Pours a dark oily brown with a dense layer of tan head. The aroma is awesome with heavy malts, licorice, dark chocolate and espresso beans. The first sip is offputting with vanilla and licorice and a odd metallic taste. A bit sweet with chocolate and a dessert like flavour. The finish is hot with mild chili flavours, alcohol presence and a smoky flavour. Overall, interesting but not great.
