Bottle at eikan pub, järvenpää. Black color, tanned head. Aroma has roasted malts, chili notes, some coffee. Nice roasty taste, coffee, nice chili notes and cocoa. Licorice brings unpleasant tart notes, but without licorice this would be excellent. MelvinKalksma (1719) - NETHERLANDS - MAY 1, 2016

Medium aroma of malts, caramel, bread, vanilla, liquorice, chocolate, roasted malts, coffee and chili.
Opaque dark brown/black beer with slight yeast and with a medium dark brown head.
Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, vanilla, liquorice and chocolate; ends slightly bitter and dry with bread, roasted malts, coffee and chili.
An interesting imperial stout with a lot of different flavours. Even with al these added ingredients, the beer is still smooth and unified. I would have loved this beer with more intense flavours however.
Black color, thin brown head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts and chilli. Taste is medium sweet, lightly sour, chocolate and chilli. Taste is rather flat. Low carbonation. It’s ok, but I had higher expectation. Hopverdju (1485) - BELGIUM - APR 27, 2016
Zwart bier met beige schuimkraag. Geur: rook, leder, iso-betadine (ontsmettingsmiddel). Smaak: as, koffie, kruiden, pikant, chili. Afdronk: bitter pikant. Leuk voor één proevertje.

Aroma of chocolate, coffee, some vanilla and roasted malts. Pours pitch black with tan head which quikly disappears. Taste is medium dry, quite flat with chocolate and coffee, finish is spicy but not exaggerated. Overall it deffinitely lacks more body and complexity in taste. Not bad but I am expecting more from Impies. MarcoDL (5379) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 28, 2016
Bottle. Black pour. Heavy aroma of spices, chili, paprika and some roast. Strong flavor of spicey herbs, paprika, earthy vanilla, roasted malt, subtle licorice and a chili burn that slowly burns in intensity, leaving a long burning finish. Really heavy stuff, hard to drink, but tasty. cfrancis (3574) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 27, 2016
Pours pitch black with a small brown wisp and ring. Aroma is a bouquet of roasted malt, cocoa with a slight chili hint. Taste is rich cocoa and chocolate, licorice and light roasted malt. Afterwards there is a general warming from the chili. Really interesting beer and surprisingly complex. Bosskie (928) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 20, 2016
Pitch black, huge creamy dark brown grey head, nice carbonation.
Smell is leather salty iodine. Fenugreek, cheese, eggs, liquorice... very interesting! Mint?
Taste is leather, resin, ash. Warm and fizzy. Bitter balances very well against the oily creamy chocolate coffee base. Chili veggie taste. Slight warmth in the throat towards the end. Crisp and fresh. creppyiceman (1042) - POLAND - MAR 18, 2016

Aroma:chocolate combined with green pepper ,strong chili note.
Appearance:jet black,small thick beige head.
Taste:medium sweetness, flavour of roastiness, coffee and chocolate, spicy and peppery finish, roasted malts and chili in the aftertaste.
Palate:full body, very thick,low carboation.
Overall: I’m not a fan of spiciness in any form but in this beer it seems to work.
